Providing nursing students with registered nurse professional experience in aged care.

Hunter Primary Care are offering the opportunity for nursing students to be involved in a high quality Aged Care Nursing Clinical Placement in order to experience the full scope of gerontological nursing. Students will work with a registered nurse mentor and be provided with additional support from a Clinical Facilitator each day.

Through collaboration with our network of trusted health partners, Hunter Primary Care delivers quality primary health, mental health, NDIS, Aged Care services and after-hours care. Hunter Primary Care are supported by funding from the Department of Health and Aged Care to coordinate delivery of the Aged Care Nursing Clinical Placements Program in the Hunter New England and Central Coast regions.

Who can apply?

This program is open to Bachelor or Master of Nursing students. Students will be required to provide probity check and health screening evidence.
