Emma joined the team at Hunter Primary Care in 2023 and has 17 years’ experience working in the disability and health sectors. Prior to Hunter Primary Care, Emma was a Supported Independent Living (SIL) Manager for many years supporting participants with complex intellectual disabilities and dementia/palliative care and also worked at Stockton Residential Centre providing nursing care and day program support. Emma managed transitioning residents from the centre to community supported independent living as the centre was decommissioning.
Emma holds a Diploma in Disability Services, a Diploma in Leadership and Management, a Certificate IV in Business, a Certificate IV in Disability Services, a Diploma in Emergency Response and a Certificate III in Assistance in Nursing.
Emma enjoys being able to personally support people with their goals and accessing the community to live a fulfilling life. Working in this sector brings her so much joy as she is able to assist participants and their families to be able to get the most out of their NDIS plan and offer them many opportunities that cater to their needs.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys camping with her family, beach days and sporting events.
