We are always on the lookout for talented students to join Hunter Primary Care’s Student Placement Program.
For over 30 years, HPC has been committed to meeting the needs of our community. We deliver quality primary health, mental health and after-hours care through a collaboration of trusted health professionals. As a part of our team, you will develop foundational skills in a supportive and innovative environment of knowledgeable and passionate industry professionals.
We service Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland, Cessnock, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Upper Hunter, Dungog, Great lakes, Gloucester, Greater Taree, Wyong, Tamworth and Armidale. Our region covers the traditional Aboriginal nations of Anaiwan, Awabakal, Biripi, Darkinjung, Gaewegal, Kamilaroi, Wonaruah and Worimi people.
Our experienced team will be able to help you kick-start you career in supporting people to live a healthy life. We’re currently looking for students studying:
- Exercise Physiology
- Nurse Practitioner
- Nutrition and Dietetics
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work

At Hunter Primary Care, we understand everyone’s health care journey is different. Our Student Placement Program is structured to provide you with the necessary support you need to develop foundational skills in the health and disability industry. Our highly experienced and passionate team members will be with you every step of the way. With a focus on best practice and optimum client care, the program will see you build capacity and independence as your skills develop.
As our services grow and community demand increases, roles become available in our Allied Health teams so our program also provides an opportunity to be made aware of these first-hand.
