Esther is a Registered Social Worker with a Psychology background. She has an interest in Indigenous/Migrants Trauma and Resiliency. Her motivation for entering the therapeutic space was influenced by the negative impact of trauma and lack of access to mental health resources both at the individual, family, and community level.

Esther incorporates elements of various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment-focused Psychotherapy, Relational Psychotherapy and Mindfulness. Esther’s trauma-informed approach considers the impacts of complex trauma, racial trauma, ancestral trauma, intergenerational and multigenerational trauma on individuals and communities, particularly Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD).

Esther is trained as a neglect /abuse /violence practitioner and incorporates this knowledge into her practice.
