Janelle White is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and commenced with Hunter Primary Care in March 2023. Janelle completed a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Social Work in 2005 and has worked in rural areas for most of her career.
Janelle’s clinical focus is trauma-informed practice, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, attachment, suicide/self-harm and life stage transitions. Her framework is strengths-based and client-centred, utilising a range of therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and psychotherapeutic approaches.
Janelle works at the Warabrook office and Lake Macquarie aged care facilities. She enjoys being a social work educator and provides supervision of students and staff to support their practice.
