Supporting behaviour change to improve wellbeing and quality of life

Hunter Primary Care provides Positive Behaviour Support for children, young people and adults with complex needs.

Our services are available through a range of funding options, including NDIS, self-funded (private), government-funded and organisational funding arrangements, allowing flexible and timely access to specialist support.

Our experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners work alongside individuals, families and support teams to understand behaviours of concern and build practical strategies that improve safety, wellbeing and quality of life.

How does it work?

Positive Behaviour Support is a strengths-based, person-centred approach that focuses on understanding the reasons behind behaviours and supporting meaningful, long-term change.

We take a collaborative and system-focused approach, working closely with the individual and their support network, which may include families, carers, schools, caseworkers and other services.

Our process may include:

Functional Behaviour Assessments to identify the underlying drivers of behaviour
