Catherine has worked across multiple domains in Hunter Primary Care, from referral management, psychological intervention to NDIS Behaviour Support and has an array of experience working with clients across a broad range of presentations and care needs.
Catherine completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) in 2019 and worked in referral management and mental health triage for 2 years prior to commencing as a Psychologist and Behaviour Support Practitioner within Hunter Primary Care.
Catherine’s experience with a wide range of presentations and demographics has encouraged continued learning and development across a broad range of treatment approaches. Catherine uses a person-centred approach, tailored to each clients needs and functional capabilities and prioritises increased quality of life and fostering genuine relationships as a function of improving challenging behaviours. Catherine has also participated in training for Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) with her dog, Eevee, with plans to incorporate AAT into practice at Hunter Primary Care.
Catherine is able to provide 1:1 psychological and behavioural skills building as well as teams-based behavioural support dependent on each client’s individual needs and treatment journey.
