Hunter Primary Care remains committed to delivering high-quality services to NDIS participants. However, after careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to transition out of NDIS Level 2 Support Coordination services.

This decision has been driven by the financial unsustainability of the service, largely due to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) not indexing Support Coordination funding over the past four years.

While we will no longer offer NDIS Level 2 Support Coordination, our full range of other NDIS services remain unaffected, including:

The Disability Royal Commission has recommended improving the structure of support coordination within the NDIS, with an emphasis on independence. In line with this, the NDIA has indicated that in the future, support coordination, along with peer navigators, plan managers, and local area coordinators, will be consolidated into a single new provider model to be known as ‘Navigation.’ These Navigation services are only to be provided by organisations that do not have any connection to the provision of other NDIS services.

Hunter Primary Care's decision has not been made lightly. The NDIA’s pricing model has made it unviable to continue delivering these services at the standard we uphold. We urge the NDIA to review NDIS pricing structures to prevent further provider withdrawals and ensure participants maintain access to quality services.

We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all participants impacted by this change. Our team will provide personalised guidance, resources and access to a curated database of providers to facilitate choice and control.

As an accredited provider under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, we remain committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable services to NDIS participants. We appreciate the ongoing trust and support of our participants, service providers, regulatory bodies and the broader community.
