Wednesday 7th February is Primary Health Care Nurses Day. In 2024, the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) launched the inaugural Primary Health Care Nurses Day to celebrate the amazing work that nurses do outside of the hospital setting, in aged care, community, general practice, custodial, schools and a range of other primary health care settings. You can join the celebration by wearing primary colours (red, blue and yellow) on the first Wednesday in February to symbolise gratitude for the important work primary care nurses do in proactive wellbeing and keeping Australians out of hospital.
Below are some quotes celebrating some of our Primary Care nurses.
"Thanks Brandon for all you have done for me, I will never forget it, life is finally about living and not just existing"
"Jenny has been a great help to me and still helping (me) reach my goals"
"Helen you have put me on the right track and I don’t know where I would be without you!".
