Hunter Primary Care’s Aged Care Services team are excited to acknowledge their first student, Rachel Keller, who completed her Aged Care Nursing Clinical Placement at Stroud Community Lodge.
Rachel was very happy with her experience, saying “it was great to not have to compete with others to take part in learning opportunities, especially ones where a crowd of uni students may make the resident feel uncomfortable.”
Rachel also commented on how great it was to work so closely with the RN on duty and to have a Clinical Facilitator to herself for an hour each day to reflect on the day’s activities.
The Manager at Stroud Community Lodge, Yolande Williams, was so happy with the program that she is taking another student from the program in January 2024.
The Aged Care Nursing Clinical Placement program is still accepting registrations from Bachelor of Nursing students for placement in 2024. Click here to register or find out more: hunterprimarycare.com.au/aged-care-nursing-clinical-placement-program
