Sunday, 7th April is World Health Day, an annual event celebrated worldwide on April 7 to raise awareness about global health issues and to promote healthier living.
World Health Day was initiated by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in 1948, to highlight key health concerns affecting people worldwide.
Celebrating its 75th Anniversary, the theme for World Health Day 2024 is ‘My health, my right’. This year’s theme was chosen to champion the right of everyone, everywhere to have access to quality health services, education and information, as well as safe drinking water, clean air, good nutrition, quality housing, decent working and environmental conditions, and freedom from discrimination.
