Hunter Primary Care's interdisciplinary allied health team consists of dietitians, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists and social workers. They offer a holistic and person-centred approach to give you confidence that you have a dedicated team who will work together toward your goals and success.

Our NDIS allied health services provide therapeutic supports to participants, as well as assessments and reports that inform access and planning decisions for your NDIS plan. We provide services that are culturally and trauma informed, evidenced-based and aim to build capacity, independence and strengthen health outcomes, including social and emotional wellbeing. We take pride in providing a collaborative and compassionate approach in getting to know you and your supports.

What allied health services does Hunter Primary Care offer?

We are a registered NDIS provider offering the following supports:

  • Dietetics - Our specialist team of dietitians provide practical nutrition advice to support participants reach their health and wellbeing goals. This includes capacity building support such as cooking and meal planning, skills building including food safety, planning and organising.   • Exercise Physiology - Our experienced exercise physiologists create exercise programs to help improve function, movement, reduce pain, prevent future health issues or incapacity, and improve overall health, functioning and quality of life.   • Occupational Therapy – Our specialised occupational therapists provide personalised, goal-centred support to re-enable you to participate in daily living tasks and recreational activities. We focus on regaining abilities, managing pain, functional capacity and modifying your environment to support your lifestyle.
  • Social Work - Our specialist team of social workers focus on maintaining and enhancing participants quality of life to facilitate empowerment. We assist with navigation and linkage to services, support self-management and identify strengths. Our clinical social workers provide therapeutic and psychological interventions to improve mental health and wellbeing.
