Maddy is a Clinical Psychologist and has been working at Hunter Primary Care since 2018.
Maddy’s background is in the disability sector, working with individuals with complex neurodevelopmental and behavioural needs. Maddy has mental health experience working in community, non-government and hospital inpatient settings. Maddy has worked with individuals across the life span whom present with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, trauma and stress-related disorders and eating disorders.
Maddy utilises a holistic and person-centred approach to therapy, where the individual is the expert in their life. Maddy draws upon techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Supportive Psychotherapy and ideas from neurobiology.
Maddy currently works three days a week, providing mental health services in Warabrook and the Aged Care Program. She is currently on parental leave.
