Psychological Therapy
Timely, compassionate care tailored to you
Taking care of your mental health is an important step, and you don’t have to do it alone. At Hunter Primary Care, our psychological therapy provides timely access to skilled support, without long waitlists.
Our team of psychologists and accredited mental health social workers provide one-on-one therapy sessions for children, adolescents and adults at our Warabrook office, or via telehealth. We support people through challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, substance use, trauma and life transitions.
Our clinicians draw on recognised therapies including:
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) - group and individual
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-
Mindfulness-based therapies
-
Trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches
We’ll work with you to identify the style of therapy that best fits your needs and goals. Want to know who you’ll be working with? Meet our mental health team and learn more about their skills and experience.
Our services are guided by strong clinical standards and delivered by an experienced, multidisciplinary team. With close connections to local health providers, we can support access to additional pathways if more support is needed.
