Vicki is a senior clinical psychologist with 20 years’ experience working across community and primary healthcare settings. She holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Newcastle and has extensive experience working with adults across a broad range of psychological difficulties.
Vicki works with adult depression and anxiety disorders, trauma, grief and adjustment difficulties, perfectionism, OCD, bipolar disorder and substance use. She also works with parenting difficulties, general life stress and has an interest in working with families experiencing difficulties during the perinatal period.
Vicki strongly values evidence-based practice and her primary treatment approach is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). She has also completed additional training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy. Vicki draws on these approaches to tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs, goals and circumstances.
Vicki aims to create a warm, supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood and are able to explore what is getting in the way of living the life they want.
Vicki is an endorsed clinical psychology supervisor and enjoys providing clinical supervision to psychology students and practising psychologists. She is passionate about supporting the development of clinicians and helping them build confidence and competence in their clinical practice.
