GP Access After Hours is introducing a time-limited Hybrid Clinic Pilot program at our Maitland Clinic. A new model combining in-person and virtual care.
The pilot will test a new after-hours appointment model where eligible patients attend the clinic in person and consult with a GP by video, supported by an on-site Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse. Patients who are offered a Hybrid Clinic appointment will be told what the appointment involves before attending. The appointment will only proceed if the patient understands and consents to this model of care.
The Hybrid Clinic Pilot will operate as a separate clinic stream alongside existing GP Access After Hours services. It does not replace existing services and does not represent a final decision about future service arrangements.
Feedback from patients and staff will help evaluate the pilot and inform future planning.
