Elaine Martin-Heckrath is a Psychologist who has completed the Transitional Psychology Programme as a Provisional Psychologist. She commenced employment at Hunter Primary Care in May 2022.

Elaine works primarily with younger adults, and has experience working in a range of contexts; e.g. hospitals, community settings, academic institutions, government, and corporate organisations.

Elaine has clinical interests in a broad range of presenting issues, including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, adjustment challenges, trauma, relationship stressors and loss / grief.

Elaine has an integrative approach to psychotherapy and draws from a range of evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), solution-focussed approaches, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy tailoring her therapy according to the clinical needs of the individual.

Elaine works at the Warabrook office Mondays and Tuesdays and at the Maitland office on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
