Maighan is a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Manager and has been working at Hunter Primary Care since 2020. She has experience working with clients across the lifespan and provides support to clients with a wide range of presentations including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, OCD, gender/sexuality, personality disorders and substance use concerns.

Maighan values working with clients from diverse backgrounds, with a particular interest in working with alcohol and other drug (AOD) use, as well as working with clients from the LGBTQ+ community.

Maighan works from a strengths-based approach and utilising frameworks and elements from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Alongside her clinical work, Maighan is a Board Approved Clinical Psychology Supervisor and enjoys providing supervision to psychology students, Provisional Psychologists and Registrars.
