Sarita is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who has been working at Hunter Primary Care since 2022. Sarita completed a Master of Clinical Psychology degree in 2022.
Sarita has experience working with clients across the lifespan, including working with their families and carers. Sarita is particularly interested in working with people who experience stress and adjustment problems, anxiety, depression, carer stress, suicidality and self-harm.
Sarita utilises a person-centred approach to therapy and primarily draws on techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients move towards their therapeutic goals.
Sarita works five days a week providing psychological services across the Warabrook and Maitland offices and Residential Aged Care Facilities in Kurri Kurri and Cessnock.
