Nourishing mind, body and brain is the theme of Dietitians week 2024.

According to the Australian Institute of Health & Welfare, 1 in 5 Australians are estimated to experience a mental health condition in any given year.

Mental health and physical health and wellbeing go hand in hand.  What we eat impacts our mental health and our mental health impacts what we eat.

Whilst a diet rich in fruits and vegetables and other healthy foods can help us maintain good mental health, getting the right balance can sometimes be challenging.

Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APDs) are university qualified nutrition experts trained to provide dietary advice and guidance.  Studies have shown that dietitian delivered medical nutrition therapy can lead to;

  • Reduced symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, PTSD and ADHD
  • Improved mood, resilience and overall functioning, including increased productivity
  • Improvements in weight, blood glucose, blood fats, cholesterol and insulin levels
  • Reduced side effects from psychotropic medications

We provide NDIS Dietitian services to eligible NDIS participants.  Click here to find out more.
