Catherine completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) in 2019 and has worked in referral management and mental health triage for 2 years prior to commencing as a psychologist. Areas of professional interest include positive behaviour support, perinatal depression, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress and panic disorders across all age groups.
Catherine is interested in a range of treatment approaches and draws techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Catherine has also participated in training for Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) with her dog, Eevee, with plans to incorporate AAT into practice at Hunter Primary Care.
Catherine is a Provisional Psychologist in the Warabrook offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and is also a Behaviour Support Practitioner on Mondays and Thursdays.
